Life on the farm is never quite as peaceful as it looks.
There's never a dull moment at No Barking HQ, and this weekend was certainly no exception.
While most people were tucked up indoors listening to the wind and rain, the farm was taking a bit of a battering.
Unfortunately, one particular resident has found himself dealing with some rather unexpected home renovations.
And no, Arthur hasn't finally decided to tidy his bedroom.
Trotty Trotty's House Has Blown Over
Following last night's storm, we discovered that the field shelter in Trotty Trotty's field had been blown over.
Not exactly the sort of thing you want to find when heading out to check on the animals in the morning.
The shelter, which is supposed to provide a bit of protection from the lovely British weather, had clearly decided it had had enough.
Unfortunately, the wind had other plans for it.
As for Trotty Trotty, we're fairly certain he didn't put in a request for an open-plan conversion.
Another Day in the British Countryside
Anyone who's spent time around a farm will know that things rarely go entirely to plan.
One minute everything is ticking along nicely, and the next you're dealing with a field shelter that's decided to relocate itself.
It's all part of countryside life, really.
The weather doesn't care what you've got planned, the animals certainly don't care, and there's usually something that needs fixing.
At least it keeps things interesting.
What Does Arthur Think?
Naturally, Arthur has been absolutely no help whatsoever.
As No Barking's self-appointed Founder and CEO, you'd think he'd be taking charge of the situation.
Instead, we suspect he'll be sticking to his usual responsibilities: barking, eating, sleeping and supervising everyone else from a comfortable distance.
Management material, apparently.
More Farm Chaos to Come
We'll be keeping everyone updated on Trotty Trotty's shelter and everything else happening around the farm.
Between Arthur's questionable work ethic, the animals getting up to their usual antics and the unpredictable British weather, there's always something going on.
You can follow along with our latest farm adventures over on Instagram and YouTube, where we share the behind-the-scenes chaos of countryside life.
And if you're heading outdoors yourself, you might as well be comfortable while doing it.
Until next time,
The No Barking Team 🐾
Ignore the noise. Be a bit more like Arthur.
